GoodJob was started in 2019 to help solve what I believe is the largest problem in HR. What is that problem?

According to SHRM, 46% of new hires fail within the first 18 months and each failed hire costs organizations, on average, $24,000 when considering an average annual salary of $80,000. A staggering amount whether you are hiring one or two employees per year or if you are hiring 100’s or thousands of employees.

Why can we only hire correctly 50% of the time? We believe it is because of incomplete data. According to our research, most companies hire on skills and qualifications only to fire or lose an employee because they were not a good fit for the company or role. In order to improve hiring and retention, we must measure fit on the front end of the hiring process – and that’s where GoodJob comes in.

Our data-driven approach determines how well a person fits in under 10 minutes and enables us to predict success unique to each organization and each role. Our process improves the probability of a successful hire from 50% to over 80%.

How do we determine fit? It starts with the PATH Assessment, a proprietary tool specifically

designed to determine an individual’s work traits and behaviors. This tool helps us understand what drives people when they are in work mode and what type of environment will lead to their greatest success.

We begin with having your current employees take the PATH which enables us to build a very specific Job Role DNA centered around high performing traits and behaviors. We then match all new candidates to the Job Role DNA at the beginning of the application process prior to bias self -selection. Once we determine the best matches for the job, the interview process begins knowing that the candidates you are interviewing possess the necessary behaviors to be successful and are good fits for the job.

This process leads to a 48% increase in retention, a faster hiring process and an unbiased lense to evaluate candidates. In addition, the software can be used to determine if your current employees are in the right role, and it easily integrates into your current ATS system allowing you to further leverage the investments you have already made.

But that is just the beginning…now that we have captured this critical data about your

workforce, we can plug it into the GoodJob AI engine and instantaneously answer questions such as…

Which applicant is most likely to stay longest?

Which sales executive should we promote to Manager?

Which nurse is most likely to leave?

Having all of this new predictive data at your fingertips will not only help solve the retention

problem but will also prepare you and your company for the Future of Work.
