Yes! You absolutely can create a QR code to allow for an in-person gift acceptance experience. This approach is great for conferences or events!
Here's how it works:
On the Send page, choose a gift and add your card and message
Setup your gift batch to include a name and an email for each recipient in your .csv or.xls upload (note the opening of each gift is validated by the recipient entering their email)
Opt for NO NOTIFICATIONS to be sent (if you're planning for recipients to scan a QR code to redeem, you likely don't also want to send them emails)
Complete the rest of the steps in the gift batch setup process and click REVIEW at the bottom of the page. You will then be presented with a single link through which each recipient on the batch can access their own gift
To generate a QR code, copy the gift link (example above) and paste it into a free QR code generator. (You don't need to create an account)
Pro tip: If you're using Google Chrome, then simply open the gift link, right-click the page, and click “Create QR code for this page”
Recipients can then scan this unique QR code to view your card, claim or swap their gift, and add their shipping information
