Pet Counts Dashboard Tiles

  • Unique Pet Count measures true stand-alone demand for each service. It shows how many pets came specifically for boarding, daycare, or grooming as their primary service. Pets who received an “in-stay” service as part of another visit type (for example, a boarding pet getting daycare or grooming during their stay) are not included in unique counts.

  • Service Pet Count measures total service utilization, regardless of the pet’s primary reason for visiting. It includes all pets who received the service — both stand-alone visits and any “in-stay” services provided to pets who were primarily there for another reason. For example, a boarding pet who receives daycare or grooming during their stay is included in the daycare or grooming service count, even though they are not included in that service’s unique count.

  • Arriving Pet Count measures the number of unique pets scheduled to arrive for an overnight service (such as boarding). Each pet is counted once per arrival, even if they receive multiple services after check-in.

  • Departing Pet Count measures the number of unique pets scheduled to check out from an overnight service. Each pet is counted once per departure, regardless of any in-stay services they received before check-out.
