This release brings major improvements across feeding and medication workflows, grooming management, and report cards — plus new flexibility for pet perks and run cards.

Feeding & Medication

We’ve redesigned Feeding & Medication administration to improve clarity, flexibility, and accuracy for staff.

Pet Instruction Updates

  • Required Fields: Medication name is now mandatory.

  • Amount & Unit: Expanded unit options (e.g. Scoop, Capsule, Packet).

  • Time of Day: New options — Lunch, Bedtime, As Needed.

  • Frequency: Simplified to Daily or Scheduled.

    • Daily = applies every day of the stay

    • Scheduled = can be tied to specific dates

  • Service Type: Instructions can now be linked to a service (Boarding, Daycare, Grooming, Meet & Greet).

  • Active/Inactive Controls: Turn instructions on or off without deleting them.

  • Edit Behavior: Updates to an instruction apply across all related invoices (past, current, and future) with a clear confirmation warning.

New Centralized Location

Feeding & Medication instructions are now a dedicated component accessible in:

  • Pet Details

  • Booking Flow

  • Invoice Management

From this component, admin users can:

  • Create, edit, and remove instructions

  • Toggle between Active/Inactive

  • View pre-registration details

All pets on an invoice display together for quick, consolidated review.

Booking & Invoice Logic

  • Daily instructions apply across the entire stay.

  • Scheduled instructions apply only to selected dates.

  • Instructions appear only for matching service types.

  • First Dose functionality removed (to be reintroduced with future task completion tools).

  • Staff can note first-dose details on run cards in the meantime.

Task Report Improvements

  • Each instruction time (AM, Lunch, PM, Bedtime, Other, As Needed) now displays as its own line item.

  • Report includes pet tags, arrival/departure, care notes, and direct links to the pet/invoice.

  • Filter by time of day, service type, or attendance status; sort by space.


Grooming

Groomer Color Selector

Each groomer can now be assigned a unique color to make schedules instantly recognizable.

  • Configurable via Staff → Groomer → Edit

  • Colors appear in the Grooming Schedule, Agenda View, and dropdown staff lists.

  • Existing colors remain unchanged until a groomer selects a new one.

Groomer Weekly Availability View

We’ve added a Week View to the grooming schedule for faster appointment management.

  • Hover to see all open time slots across the week.

  • Quickly jump to a specific day to start a booking.

  • Past dates appear as unavailable.


Run Cards

Run Cards have been redesigned to be cleaner and more informative.

  • Optional Vaccine section (shows vaccine name + expiration date).

  • Care Instructions and Belongings now included.

  • Automatically hides unused sections (no instructions = no clutter).

  • Includes Owner & Vet info and In-Stay section for context.

  • Added dividing lines between Feeding, Meds, Pet Perks, and Room Extras.

  • Checkbox selectors allow marking daily tasks as complete.


Report Card Enhancements

Admin Experience

Creating and sending report cards is now easier than ever.

  • Streamlined to a single, unified page.

  • Activity highlights appear next to associated services (e.g. Half-Day Daycare).

  • Quick-add “chips” to mark notable moments or custom notes.

Automated Descriptions

AI-powered text generation now helps summarize the day in a natural, engaging tone.

  • Combines activity descriptions, highlights, and staff notes into a single summary.

  • Staff can edit, add, or remove details before regenerating text.

  • Designed to save time while maintaining a personal touch for every pet.


Pet Perks

Add “Every Day”

When overriding Pet Perks during booking, staff can now apply perks to every day of a stay with one click.

Daycare & Boarding Overrides

For both new Daycare and Boarding bookings:

  • Pet Perk overrides automatically reflect daily or per-stay adjustments.

  • Logic now respects restrictions (e.g. size limits for perks).

  • Overrides stay visible and editable throughout the booking and invoice process.


Email Marketing is live

  • Send one-time broadcasts (e.g., newsletters, promotions).

  • Automate campaigns using templates (abandoned cart, churn prevention, holiday reminders, cross-sell, etc.).

  • Customize email content, branding, and calls-to-action.

  • Use Goose CRM, booking, and invoice data to target the right audience with the right message.

SMS Marketing is coming soon

  • SMS Marketing functionality will be released in early 2026 once consent collection and opt-in requirements are in place.

  • Target pet owners with relevant, personalized campaigns with data from your operating system.

  • Increase bookings through timely reminders and promotions.

  • Save time with ready-to-use automations and predefined audience segments.

  • Keep communications compliant with unsubscribe and consent management built in.
