Goose is excited to officially support training as an independent service, in the same place you run boarding, daycare, and grooming.

What's New

From a pet's first behavioral consultation through a multi-week Board & Train stay, every session is now bookable, trackable, and payable within your existing workflow. Trainers can send report cards and your team gets clean reporting β€” without a separate system.

Goose will support a number of training formats: one-on-one day training, group sessions, skills classes where pet parents train alongside the trainer, short-form consultations, and residential Board & Train programs. Multi-session packages can be sold upfront as standard or custom series.

Manage Your Trainers' Schedules

Admins can build out each trainer's availability directly in the platform, giving your front desk a real-time view of who has capacity and when.

Arrival windows can be set per trainer. When a front desk team member books a session, they're booking into a pre-built slot, which means no double-booking, no guessing at availability, and a schedule your trainers can rely on.

Works With Your Existing Tools

Training connects natively to your Dashboard, Reporting, Communications, Report Cards, and CRM β€” no extra setup required. Training revenue shows up as its own category across all reporting and trainers can send report cards directly to pet parents.

Flexible Payments

Collect full payment upfront, take a deposit, or bill per session β€” whatever matches how you sell. Board & Train costs span boarding and training and can be attributed however fits your reporting.

Visual Lodging Calendar

You can view lodging assignments from two places:

  • Rooms Tab (Front Desk β†’ Rooms) β€” A read-only overview of all your runs, rooms, and suites. Filter by offer type or resource type to quickly spot availability on busy days.

  • Lodging Assignment Panel β€” Accessed by clicking a space assignment on a specific invoice. Use this to assign a pet to a specific room for that booking.

How room assignment works

When assigning a room, you'll see:

  • Available rooms β€” Hover to preview invoice dates; click to assign

  • Rooms with conflicts β€” Flagged when a room is already occupied during the stay or the pet doesn't meet room restrictions. You can still manually override and assign if needed.

  • If no arrival or departure times are set on the invoice, the pet will occupy the full day by default.

Conflict with Another Reservation

A few things to note

  • Reservations cannot be created or edited from the calendar β€” use your standard invoice workflow for that

  • Each invoice must be managed and assigned separately

  • The room assignment drawer within the invoice edit page remains unchanged
