This article will walk you through the various steps you'll take to successfully complete a job in GorillaDesk. First, we will cover completing a job on the desktop, then we'll take a look at completing a job on the mobile app.

Completing a job on the desktop

Once a job is created on your calendar, simply double click on the job tile to open the job OR click the tile and select Open Job.

After opening the job, the very first thing you should do is check in. Then, below the check in/out time, you can view the customer's contact information as well as any location notes if applicable.

Below, you can view or edit the customer's top note which is a note that will appear on the top of all of that customer's jobs, but is not visible to the client.

Then, below that, you have the ability to add job notes which are not visible to the customer but are only specific to this particular job fo that customer and you can leave your task reminder as well.

Click here to learn more about notes.

You can add materials to your job by clicking on the Materials tab and choosing Add Material. This will allow you to add materials from your material master list in Settings > Addons > Material Usage.

This material information will generally appear on your invoices and work orders unless you choose to hide materials in Settings > Addons > Material Usage.

Clicking the '+' will allow you to add an estimate or documents (if you are a Pro user) to the job.

Click here to learn more about estimates.

When you have finished performing the work, remember to check out of the job and change the job status to Complete.

Note: Changing the job status to Complete is the most important step, as this is what will unlock the next recurring job.

Work orders are a great way to convert pertinent job information to your customers without sending them a bill. You will have the ability to print out the work order, send the work order by email, and add work order notes (visible to client).

Below is an example of how the work order will appear to your clients.
