Managing Customer Tier Tags

When creating loyalty tiers, a tag value will automatically be created that matches the tier name. At the time of tier creation this can be edited in the customer tag name field.

Once the tier is created, this tag will then be used by the Roadmap app to manage what tiers a customer is registered on.

If a website admin goes into a user profile and changes this tag, then the tag to a value that does not match any of the other tier names, then that user will "fall out of sync" with the membership tiers.

Therefore if you want to manage customer tiers, you are best to do this in the loyalty customer area in the Roadmap application.

Here you are free to edit tiers, as well as schedule upgrades and downgrades.
