    2. Tap on the Sensors tab located at the bottom of the dashboard.

  2. Select the Area

    1. Identify and select the area where the sensor is installed.

  3. Choose the Sensor to Remove

    1. Scroll through the list of sensors in the selected area and tap the sensor you want to remove.

  4. Edit Sensor Settings

    1. Tap the pencil (edit) icon in the upper right corner to access the sensor settings.

  5. Remove Sensor Permanently

    1. Select Remove Permanently.

  6. Prompt to Remove the Sensor from Soil

    1. A prompt will appear stating:
“You are about to permanently remove the app place marker for the place ‘(name of sensor)’. Please remove the sensor from the soil before deleting it from the dashboard.”

    2. Make sure you physically remove the sensor from the ground before proceeding.

  7. Confirm Removal

    1. After ensuring the sensor is removed from the soil, tap Confirm to remove the place.

What Happens After Removing a Sensor?

  • The place marker and related data will no longer be visible by default in your dashboard.

  • Historical data for the sensor is archived but can still be accessed upon request if needed for reporting or analysis.

  • The sensor is now unassigned and can be reinstalled in a new location or reassigned to a different area as needed.

Important Notes

  • Removing a sensor permanently means it is unlinked from the organization, and its data will no longer be actively displayed on the dashboard.

  • Ensure that the sensor is physically removed from the soil before confirming its deletion in the app to avoid confusion in future installations.

  • Once removed, the sensor can be redeployed by following the "Add a New Sensor" process in the GreenCast Connect app.

    • Note: do not redeploy damaged sensors

  • Make sure to store your Sensors properly after removal.
