Recertify Employee Training ✔

Recertify employees on completed courses at any time, whether a certification has expired or you want an early refresher.

Written by Kaitlin Lane

Overview

By default, once an employee completes a course they remain Safe Certified for one year from the date the Checklist is signed off. You can recertify training at any time—whether a course has already expired or you want to assign a refresher earlier.

Recertifying or reassigning a course does not erase an employee's prior completions. Their earlier records remain in Training History.

Before you start

  • You need manager or admin access to recertify training.

  • Only completed courses are eligible for recertification. Courses in New, In Progress, or Checklist status will not appear in the recertify list.

  • If a course is stuck in Checklist status, complete it first (or disable the checklist in Settings > Manage Courses) before it becomes eligible for recertification.
