The Service View in Groovio is designed to manage one-time services that students can book themselves-such as, studio rentals, or special functions. This view is specifically for student self-booked appointments, and cannot be used by studios to manually assign students to services.

⚠️ Important: Only use the Service feature when you want to allow students to independently book time slots with staff who have marked themselves as available. Studios cannot manually book students into these services.

Accessing the Service View

To manage services, navigate to Groovio > Manage Studio > Services. You’ll see a list of all current services with options to create, edit, duplicate, or share.

Managing Services

From this view, you can:

  • View All Services: Quickly see each service’s name, type, cost, and assigned staff.

  • Create New Services: Add offerings like space rentals that students can self-book.

  • Edit Services: Change the name, description, price, or assigned staff.

  • Delete Services: Remove outdated or no-longer-needed services.

  • Duplicate Services: Copy an existing setup to quickly create similar offerings.

  • Share Services: Promote a service by generating a shareable link or posting directly to social platforms like Facebook or WhatsApp.

Service Details

When creating or editing a service, you can configure the following:

  • Name: Title of the service (e.g., “1-on-1 Flexibility Coaching”)

  • Description: What the service includes

  • Cost: Total price for the booking

  • Duration: Length of the session

  • Color Code: Helps categorize and visually organize the schedule

  • Question Name: Optional custom questions (e.g., “Do you have an injury?”)

  • Location & Room: Specify where the service is held

  • Staff: Assign instructors who are available for self-booked services

  • Booking Time Cut-Off: Control how late students can book before the start time

Payment Options

  • Full Payment: Require students to pay in full at the time of booking

  • Deposit: Allow a partial deposit, with the rest due later

When to Use Services

Use the Service View only when:

  • You want students to self-book a session based on available time slots.

  • Your instructors have marked availability in their schedule.

  • You do not need to manually place a student into a time slot (manual booking is not supported for services).

For any situation where your staff needs to directly assign or book a student into a time slot, consider using Classes or Memberships instead.

The Service View is perfect for simplifying and automating self-booked offerings at your studio-giving students flexibility while reducing admin work for your team.
