Getting Started with GSMtasks: Your First Task in 10 Minutes

Account setup, driver app login, first task creation and completion

Welcome to GSMtasks!

Whether you're managing deliveries, field service jobs, or daily operations, GSMtasks helps you organize tasks, optimize routes, and keep your entire team connected in real time.

This guide will walk you through the essential first steps to get your account up and running.


By the end of this guide, you'll be able to:

✅ Log into the GSMtasks Dashboard

✅ Log into the GSMtasks Driver App

✅ Create your first task

✅ Assign it to a worker

✅ Complete the task using the mobile app

Step 1: Download the GSMtasks Driver App

The GSMtasks Dashboard on the web browser is used by dispatchers and office staff to create and manage tasks.

The GSMtasks Driver App is used by drivers and field workers to receive, complete, and update tasks while on the go.

Download the free GSMtasks Driver App on your mobile device:


Step 2: Log into your account

Open the Dashboard in your browser and sign in using the login credentials provided by your administrator.

Once logged in, you'll be ready to start receiving and managing tasks.


Step 3: Go Online in the Driver App

Before a worker can receive assigned tasks, they must be marked as Online in the Driver App. Simply open the app and enable the Online toggle.

Once you're online, any tasks assigned to you will appear automatically.

💡 Tip

Workers who are online are displayed in green in the Dashboard, making it easy for dispatchers to see who is currently available.


Step 4: Create your first task

Now it's time to create your first task. Click here for a thorough guideline on creating a task!

In the Dashboard:

  1. Click New Task

  2. Enter the customer's details

  3. Add the task address

  4. Select the assigned worker

  5. Choose the scheduled date and time (if needed)

  6. Add any notes or instructions

  7. Click Create Task

Your worker will immediately receive the task if they are on duty.


Step 5: Complete the task in the Driver App

When the worker receives the task, they simply tap on it to open the task details. Click here to see thorough guidelines for how to complete tasks.

The standard task workflow is:

  1. Start Driving

  2. Navigate to the destination using your preferred navigation app

  3. Tap Arrived when you reach the location

  4. Complete the required work

  5. Add a signature, photo, document, or notes if required

  6. Swipe to Complete Task

Once completed, the Dashboard is updated instantly so dispatchers can track progress in real time.
