How to Add Homescreen Widgets

Widgets of Habitify aims to give a quick yet still complete view of habit progress directly on the home screen and the lock screen.

We designed for you 4 types of widgets:

  • Widget for Today view

  • Widget for the proress view of habits in a list

  • Widget for the heatmap of a habit progress

  • Widget for quick logging on a habit

Today Widgets

The Today widget will show the list of habits that are set to repeat on the current day, with a compact layout.

By edit this widget, you switch between All Habits list, Current Time of Day, or a custom area.

On this widget, your habits are organized following how you sort it in the Journal view. You also can see the current streak that you have achieved on each habit.

This type of widget comes in 2 sizes: small one to show 3 habits at maximum, and big size to show 7 habits at maximum.

Especially on Android, you can scroll through your list directly on the widget

Chain Widgets

The Chain widget is kind of extended version of Today widget. With this widget, you can see the progress of each habit of your habit list in a period of time.

There are options: Last 7 Days, Last 14 Days, Last 21 Days, Last 30 Days, This Week, and This Month.

Heatmap Widgets

The Heatmap Widgets represents the progress of a habit.

On iOS, small widget shows progress of the last 96 days while the large one show progress of the last 216 days

On Android, widget is adjustable in size, so it is depended on the size you set for it on the homescreen that the period can be different.

When tapping on the heatmap widget, a pop-up to log progress for current day will show up on your screen.

Quick Log Widgets

The Quick Log Widgets allows you to update your habit right on the home screen.

For this widget, you can edit it and configure the check-in buttons.

To log a value to the progress, you just need to tap on the widget. A pop-up to log progress for current day will show up on your screen.

Log Progress from Widgets

When you tap on a habit from the habit list on the widget, a pop-up will open right away for you to check-in on the habit.

On Android devices, this pop-up is supported to open right on homescreen.

On iOS, it is required to open the app and show the pop-up. Additionally, this is just available for single habit widgets. We soon release it to all other habit list widgets
