Your First Launch

When you first install and open Habitify on your Apple Watch, the app needs to perform a full synchronization with your iPhone. It securely pulls all your existing habits, check-in history, and settings.

Please be aware that this initial sync can take several minutes (sometimes 5 minutes or more) depending on the amount of data you have.

This only happens on the very first launch or after a re-installation. Subsequent launches will be much faster.

Tips for a Smooth Sync

  • Keep Your iPhone Nearby: Ensure your Apple Watch is close to your paired iPhone.

  • Open Habitify on Your Phone: For the best results during the first sync, keep the Habitify app open on your iPhone.

  • Check Your Connection: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone and that the two devices are connected.

If you ever re-install the app, please remember to allow a couple of minutes for this sync to complete to ensure all your habits appear correctly.

Using Complications

Complications are a fantastic way to see your progress directly on your watch face.

Currently, the Habitify Apple Watch app (HB5) fully supports the rectangular complication, which works perfectly in the center or middle slots on many popular watch faces like "Infograph Modular" and "Modular."

How to Add the Complication:

  1. Press and hold on your current watch face and tap "Edit."

  2. Swipe left to the "Complications" screen.

  3. Tap the slot where you want to add Habitify (we recommend a rectangular slot).

  4. Scroll through the list of apps and select Habitify.

  5. Press the Digital Crown to save and exit.

A Note on Other Complication Styles

We have heard your valuable feedback and understand that many of you would love to see more complication styles, such as the circular and corner options.

We are currently in the progress of enhancement the widgets, which is related to the improvement on watch app complications as well. Our development team is actively working to expand our revamped complications in future updates.

Troubleshooting: Habits Not Loading?

If you're having trouble seeing your habits after the initial sync, here are a few steps you can take:

  1. Force a Refresh: Open the Habitify app on your iPhone. Pull down from the top of the habit list to refresh it. Then, open the app on your Apple Watch again.

  2. Check Connections: Double-check that Bluetooth is active and your watch is connected to your phone.

  3. Restart Devices: A simple restart of both your iPhone and your Apple Watch can often resolve unexpected syncing issues.
