We have developed the Habitify for ChatGPT, a specialized integration that connects your ChatGPT account directly to your Habitify journal.
This connection allows you to track habits, log progress, and review your daily goals simply by having a conversation with ChatGPT. Itโs like having a personal assistant who manages your Habitify app for you.
Prerequisites
To use this integration, please note that the Habitify integration is currently in Beta/Development, and not officially released on the Apps of ChatGPT yet. Therefore, currently, you will need to enable the developer mode of your ChatGPT account to use this integration.
How to Enable Access (Developer Mode):
Open ChatGPT and go to Profile > Settings.
Navigate to Apps > Advanced Settings.
Toggle ON the option for Enable Developer Mode.
Set up the Habitify app to ChatGPT account
follow these steps to create the connection:
In the ChatGPT interface, look for the option to Create App (usually found in the sidebar or under your new developer settings).
In the New App window, please fill in the fields as shown below:

https://mcp.habitify.me/mcpAuthentication: Select OAuth from the dropdown menu.
Check the box that says "I understand and want to continue" to acknowledge the use of a custom MCP server.
Click the black Create button at the bottom.
Follow the on-screen prompts to Connect or Authorize the app with your Habitify account.
Once the authorization is successful, you are ready to start chatting with your habits!
Follow and Track habits in Habitify with ChatGPT
Here are the specific actions you can ask ChatGPT to perform.
1. Add a Log
Use this to add specific numbers to habits that track values (like milliliters, minutes, or pages).
Scope: Single Habit.
Suggested Prompts:
"Log 500ml of water."
"Add 10 pages to my Reading habit."
"Log 30 minutes of Meditation."
2. Mark Habit as Complete
Instantly check off habits. You can do this for just one, a few specific ones, or everything at once.
Scope: Single, Multiple, or All Habits in a prompt
Suggested Prompts:
Single: "Mark Meditation as done."
Multiple: "Mark Water and Reading as complete."
All: "Complete all my habits for today."
3. Mark Habit as Skipped
If you need to excuse habits for the day so they don't break your streak.
Scope: Single, Multiple, or All Habits in a prompt.
Suggested Prompts:
Single: "Skip my Run habit today."
Multiple: "Skip Run and Gym for today."
All: "Mark all my habits as skipped."
4. Mark Habit as Failed
If you missed habits and want to be honest with your tracking.
Scope: Single, Multiple, or All.
Suggested Prompts:
Single: "Mark 'No Sugar' as failed."
Multiple: "Mark No Sugar and Diet as failed."
All: "Fail all my habits for today."
5. Check Your Progress
Ask ChatGPT to show you your list of habits for today or any specific date to see what is left to do.
Scope: All Habits (for a specific date).
Suggested Prompts:
"Show my habits for today."
"What is my progress for yesterday?"
"Show me my habits for last Friday."
6. Undo Progress
Use this to completely wipe the progress of a habit for a specific day, resetting it to 0 or "Not Started."
Scope: Single Habit (Clears entire day's progress).
Default Date: If you don't mention a date, it defaults to Today.
Suggested Prompts:
Today: "Undo progress for Water." or "Reset my Reading habit."
Past Date: "Undo progress for Run yesterday."
