Training status indicators and what they mean
The status indicator dot within HandsHQ indicates the training status of the personnel, role or course:
🟢 Green: Up to date
🟡 Amber: Expiring soon*
🔴 Red: Expired or missing (not recorded)
*60 days unless you have a custom expiry reminder set
Note: Only required training will affect the training status of a personnel
Different training status views
Overall training status - what you see on the personnel list and the doughnut chart
The overall training status is what you see in the list of personnel and what affects the colour represented in the doughnut chart.
🟢 Green: all training is up to date for the personnel
🟡 Amber: at least one course expires within 60 days*
🔴 Red: at least one course is expired or not uploaded (missing)
Only courses marked as required affect the overall training status.

Personnel profile view
🟢 Green: all required training is up to date for the personnel
🟡 Amber: at least one required courses across all roles expires within 60 days*
🔴 Red: at least one course across all roles is expired or not recorded (missing)
Let's look at the following example. Harry's overall profile is amber - which tells us that at least one required course is expiring on his profile.
On his profile, we can see that Harry has two roles. One of them is green, the other amber. In the role of Captain he's fully up to date. In his role as Striker, he's got one course expiring soon. The "Penalty Taking" course is expiring soon, which is why his Striker role and overall training status are amber.
Course view
Each course training status indicates a summary of whether all the personnel assigned to the course are up to date.
🟢 Green: all personnel are up to date on this particular course
🟡 Amber: at least one personnel's training is expiring soon for this course
🔴 Red: at least one personnel's training is missing/out of date for this course
Role view
Each role will also have a training status summary based on the required courses and the personnel assigned to the role.
🟢 Green: all personnel have all the required training for this role
🟡 Amber: at least one person has one course expiring soon for this role
🔴 Red: at least one person has one course missing/out of date for this role
Zooming in on one role, we can see the status of each personnel under that role.
Custom Expiry Reminders: choose your reminder notification schedule for courses
Customers on Business and Enterprise plans can customise when a course is considered 'expiring soon" i.e. when the first notification email is sent and the course status is considered 'amber'.
