Bulk Price Increase

Follow these steps to update the price of a service in your price book to update all matched configured services

Updated over a month ago

There are two ways to increase your prices:

  1. Update Price in Pricing for all matched configured services:

    • This is the most common option and covered in this help article.

    • It changes the price of a service for all customers who currently have it.

    • The price update happens immediately.

  2. Update Prices for Specific Customers:

    • This is less common and used when you only want to increase prices for a specific group of customers.

    • You need to contact Support to set this up and allow for at least 3 weeks to take effect.

Update pricing to reflect on Configured Services -

Start by locating the service to update by going to Pricing > Services .

Select the 3 dot (menu) button to the right of the service value, select EDIT.

In the pop up, update the price (increase or decrease).

Select the check box next to 'Update all related configured services price'

Select Save

A pop up will ask you to confirm the price change, an added safety measure.

With the new pricing in effect, any customers with the exact matched service will have the new pricing reflected immediately in their account.

(If an account page is already open in another tab, refresh the page to see the price update reflected)

Warnings, Precautions and Additional Information:

Will updating the price update existing invoices?

  • Not automatically. If you do not want existing invoices to have the updated price reflected, use caution when regenerating invoices.

  • If you happen to regenerate an invoice and need the price changed back, we recommend updating the Configured Service only for that customer, regenerate that invoice again to reflect the original price and then manually update the price to the new price.

  • You can do a bulk regeneration in your Billing > Invoices to increase all pricing on existing unpaid invoices.

I updated the price and forgot to select the option to update the Configured Services price. Can I fix this?

  • Absolutely. Select the 3 dot menu option and click the check box to update Configured Services Price and save. This will correct the missed check box originally.

I want to update a specific service but I don't want that pricing reflected on a group of customers. How can I do this?

  • If it's a small set of customers and you can easily identify them with a tag or account group, you can update the pricing for all and then manually adjust the pricing within the profile of the specific customers.

  • If the list of customers is large (greater than 100-200 customers), please contact support or your Implementation Manager. We will work with our Data Engineering team to assist you with a price update.

I used the Change Services option to update the price, will that reflect on the customer's profile?

  • No. That option is only for changing the price for future use, new CS on a customer's profile. There is no option through that price adjustment to have it reflect on the existing configured services

Can I set the pricing update to go into effect on a specific date?

  • Not currently. At this time any changes to the price will update immediately.

Can I see how many accounts would be updated with the price increase / decrease?

  • Yes. Start by selecting the menu option and select the check box for 'Active Locations' and click done.

This will display how many Active Locations the specific service is currently being used by.
