Basic Troubleshooting

How do I enable auto-update in Google Play Store to ensure I'm always on the latest version of the app?

  1. Open Google Play Store on your Android device.

  2. Tap your circle profile picture in the top right.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Select Network preferences.

  5. Select Auto-update apps.

  6. Choose one of the update options presented. Feel free to select Update over Wi-Fi only to reduce mobile data consumption.

  7. Once you've made your selection, you're all set. Your apps should now update automatically each time a new version is released.


How do I clear my cache?

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.

  2. At the top right, tap the More button (vertical three dots icon).

  3. Tap History.

  4. Tap Clear browsing data.

  5. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.

  6. Check the boxes next to: Cookies and site data and Cached images and files.

  7. Tap Clear data.


How do I clear my data storage?

  1. Long hold the Hauler Hero app and select the information icon (i).ⓘ

  2. This opens the settings specific to the application.

  3. Scroll down to Storage.

  4. Select Clear Data (not clear cache).

  5. This will reset the data similarly to uninstalling and reinstalling, including clearing cache.

  6. When you reopen the app, you will be prompted to select the location settings and login.

How do I locate the Driver username?

  1. From within the Hauler Hero office app, select the ⚙️ gear icon in the upper right hand corner.

  2. Click on Users, and then People.

  3. Find the driver you're looking for and click on their profile to display the username field.


How do I know which version of the Hauler Hero app I'm on?

It is important that we know the exact version of the app that is on the tablet. Google Play Store will release any updates in small increments and often times it will appear as though there's no pending update however you're not on the most recent release. Because of this, we need to know exactly the version you are using (and it's why we recommend enabling auto-updates as shown here above).

Locating the Hauler Hero app version -

There are three ways to find the current app version.

  1. Locate the app version from within the mobile driver app itself.

    1. Click the box with your initials to open up your Account page.

    2. Look under the Current Version.

  2. You can long hold the app icon and select the (i) info icon.

  3. You can access the app details on your tablet:

    1. Go to Settings

    2. Scroll to and select Apps

    3. Find Hauler Hero or Hauler Hero Road

    4. This opens the App info page.

    5. The version will be at the bottom of that list.


How do I know what Android version my tablet is on?

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Scroll to and select About tablet.

  3. Click on Software information.

  4. The version will be shown under Android version.

How do I know what tablet make and model I have?

  1. Go to Settings on your tablet.

  2. Scroll to and select About tablet.

  3. Your tablet make will show as Product name.

  4. Your model will show as Model name.

Find your tablet make and model under Product name and Model name in "About Tablet" settings.
