While Hauler Hero doesn’t offer Customer Success or Support for the devices you run Hauler Hero Road on, we are happy to share what we’ve learned from our Hauler Heroes (ranging from fleet operations directors, to general managers, owner operators, and the drivers that drive the trucks).
Overall, our Heroes report better performance and durability using a rugged tablet in the field instead of a consumer grade tablet. We’ve outlined the specifications and our recommendations below.
What are the required minimum tablet specifications?

What data plan does my tablet need?
You’ll need a data plan added through a local cellular provider (i.e. AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.). Always check the coverage map for your drivers’ routes to ensure you select the best data plan for your operations.
We’ve often seen Verizon as the best option, but some areas do have better results with AT&T or T-Mobile.
Often, your chosen carrier will bundle tablets for free if you subscribe to a qualified data plan. We strongly recommend signing up once you’ve placed your deposit with Hauler Hero and to pause your data subscription pending your actual go-live.
Can you recommend any tablet mounts for my drivers to use?

At this time the Hauler Hero app is only available for Android devices. We do not offer an iOS, iPad, iPhone version of Hauler Hero. If you are needing a Apple version for your business, please submit a product request with Hauler Hero Support.
