As a Primary Admin (the owner of an agency account), you can now upgrade a captive agents to a Promoted Admin role
This is useful when you want an office manager, business partner, or assistant to help run and manage the agency alongside you.
What Promoted Admins can do
Promoted Admins get added capabilities across your agency:
View the Agency tab to see your full roster of downline agents and agencies
Full Book access to all Contacts from captive agents in your agency
Full visibility into Contacts across any downline sub-agencies
Reassign Contacts between captive agents
Export agency-wide reports
And they keep all of their standard agent capabilities (add Contacts, quote, enroll, send SOAs and intakes, manage carriers, etc.)
What Promoted Admins cannot do
Some sensitive controls are not accessible to Promoted Admins, staying only with you as the Primary Admin:
Promoting or demoting other admins
Setting up integrations (API keys, webhooks)
Joining upstream agencies
Who can be promoted
You can promote any captive agent in your agency.
Only the Primary Admin can promote or demote agents
Independent agents can't be promoted
Agents in sub-agencies can't be promoted (they'd need to be promoted by their own agency's Primary Admin.)
How to promote an agent
Go to the Agency tab
Find the captive agent you want to promote in the Agents list
In the Role column, click the edit icon
In the pop-up modal, select Promoted Admin and press the Set Role button
You can use this same process to remove an agent's Promoted Admin role.
When you make an agent a Promoted Admin, they'll receive an email letting them know. If you later remove their Promoted Admin role, they won't receive an email.
Backoffice or assistor roles
If you'd like to give this access to backoffice or administrative assistant staff at your agency, just have them sign up for an account like a regular agent, and add your captive join code. Then make them a Promoted Admin.
If they aren't licensed, then when they're signing up, they can just enter a fake NPN, and still get access to everything except our enrollment forms.
FAQ
Can a Promoted Admin promote other agents?
No. Only the Primary Admin can promote or demote agents.
Can I have more than one Promoted Admin?
Yes – promote as many direct captive downline agents as you'd like.
What happens to a Promoted Admin's own Contacts when they're demoted?
Nothing. They keep full access to Contacts they personally own. They just lose access to other agents' Contacts and the Agency tab.
Can a Promoted Admin see my API keys or commission data?
No. Integrations and commission data stay visible only to the Primary Admin.
Will Promoted Admins be notified when they're promoted or demoted?
They'll get an email when promoted. No email is sent on demotion.
