How to share all conversations

This article explains how a custodian can complete a Share All after their extraction is finished.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Depending on how the extraction code was set up by your legal team, or by you if you're the account owner, you may see a Share All option once your extraction completes. This allows all conversations from supported apps to be shared at once, including:

  • Texts (SMS, MMS, RCS, iMessage)

  • WhatsApp

  • Voicemail

  • Call logs (Android only)

This article explains how Share All works and what to expect during the upload process.

Step 1: Confirm the extraction is complete

When you see the message Device backup is now completed, the extraction is finished and the phone can be unplugged. Click Okay to proceed.

Step 2: Click Share all conversations

Click the Share all conversations button to begin the upload process.

Step 3: Select which apps to share

If your extraction code allows app selection, you’ll see a list of supported apps.
Check the boxes next to the apps you want to include, then click Continue.

Step 4: Keep the application open during upload

All conversations from the selected apps will begin uploading to the account holder’s secure portal.

Click Okay and keep the Hearsay Extractor open.

Do not close or exit the app until you see the Sharing Complete screen. Upload time will vary depending on the number of conversations, the amount of data, and your internet speed.

Step 5: Confirm upload is complete

When you see the Sharing Complete screen, your upload is finished. You’re all set.
