How to "Share All" conversations

How to use the Share All feature to upload all conversations from supported apps after completing a phone collection.

Depending on how the extraction code was set up by your legal team, or by you if you are the account holder, you may see a Share All option after your collection completes. Share All uploads all conversations from supported apps at once, including:

  • Text messages (SMS, MMS, RCS, iMessage)

  • WhatsApp

  • Voicemails

  • Call logs (Android and encrypted iPhone backups only)

This article explains how Share All works and what to expect during the upload process.

Step 1: Confirm the collection is complete

When you see the message It is now safe to unplug your phone, the collection is complete. Click Continue to Share Conversations to proceed.

Step 2: Click Share all conversations

Click the Share all conversations button to begin the upload process. If you would prefer to select specific conversations instead, click Pick conversations.

Step 3: Select which apps to upload

The Select Apps for Share All screen shows the available apps and the number of conversations in each. Check the boxes next to the apps you want to include, then click Continue.

Step 4: Keep the application open during upload

A Sharing in Progress notification will appear. Click Okay and keep the Hearsay Extractor open. Do not close or exit the application until the upload is complete.

Step 5: Confirm upload is complete

When you see "You're all set," the upload is finished. You can click Share more conversations to upload additional threads, or click Exit Case to return to the main screen.


Next steps

If your attorney sent you the extraction code:

  • You're done. They'll receive an email once the upload is complete.

  • Wait for their feedback before deleting the backup (unless you want to keep a copy).

  • When you're ready to delete the backup, follow this guide.
