The Shopify Theme Editor (also called the Theme Customizer) is where you customize how your store looks and feels. With the Atlas Theme, it's easy to use — even if you’re new to Shopify.

How to Access the Theme Editor

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes

  2. Find the Atlas Theme

  3. Click Customize to open the theme editor

What You’ll See

Left Sidebar
This is where you add, remove, and rearrange sections on your pages (like the homepage, product page, cart, etc.)

Right Preview Panel
This shows a live preview of your store as you make changes.

Top Page Selector
Use this dropdown to switch between pages (Homepage, Product Page, Cart, etc.)

Important Areas to Know

Global Settings
At the top of the left sidebar, you’ll see Theme Settings.
This is where you can control site-wide options like:

  • Typography (fonts and sizes)

  • Color palette

  • Buttons, spacing, shadows, etc.

These changes apply across your entire store — not just one section.

App Embeds

Click the App Embeds icon (puzzle piece in the left sidebar) to manage apps that work with your theme — like the Atlas Bundler or third-party tracking scripts.

Some features like sticky add to cart, upsells, and reviews may need to be toggled on here.

Basic Things You Can Do

  • Add or remove sections (image banners, featured products, testimonials, etc.)

  • Hide sections with the eye icon

  • Edit text, upload images, and customize buttons

  • Reorder sections with drag-and-drop

  • Preview changes on desktop or mobile

  • Save and publish when you're ready to go live
