Atlas enforces a single bundle per product rule. Each product can only have one active bundle at a time. If you try to create a bundle that overlaps with an existing one, you'll see an error like:
"Cannot apply bundle to 'all products' when another bundle is already applied on 'all products' or 'specific collection' or 'specific products.'"
This article explains why these conflicts happen and how to resolve them.
In this article:
How product targeting creates conflicts
Every bundle has a product targeting scope set in the Settings tab: All products, Specific collections, or Specific product(s). Atlas does not allow two active bundles to apply to the same product simultaneously.
The most restrictive scope is "All products" because it covers every product in your store. If you have an active bundle set to "All products," no other bundle can be created for any scope, since every product is already claimed.
The same logic applies in reverse. If you have bundles assigned to specific products or collections, you can't create a new "All products" bundle because it would overlap with the products already assigned to existing bundles.
Common scenarios that trigger errors
You have an "All products" bundle and try to create another bundle. Since the first bundle covers every product, any new bundle will conflict regardless of its scope.
You have multiple bundles on specific products/collections and try to create an "All products" bundle. The "All products" scope would overlap with products already assigned to other bundles.
Two bundles target the same collection or product. Even with specific targeting, if two bundles end up covering the same product (for example, a product that belongs to two different collections, each with its own bundle), a conflict occurs.
How to fix a bundle conflict
Option 1: Narrow the scope of the existing bundle. Edit the bundle that's blocking you and change its product targeting from "All products" to "Specific collections" or "Specific product(s)." This frees up the products you need for your new bundle.
Go to the Bundle Deals dashboard and click the edit icon on the existing bundle.
In the Settings tab, under Products, change the targeting from "All products" to "Specific collections" or "Specific product(s)."
Select only the products or collections this bundle should apply to.
Save your changes.
Option 2: Narrow the scope of the new bundle. If the existing bundle needs to stay on "All products," change the new bundle's targeting to specific products or collections that don't overlap.
Option 3: Deactivate or delete the conflicting bundle. If the existing bundle is no longer needed, set it to draft or delete it to free up its product scope entirely.
Preventing conflicts going forward
Use "All products" sparingly. Only use it when you genuinely want a single bundle on every product page in your store. For most stores, targeting specific collections or products gives you more flexibility to run multiple bundles simultaneously.
Plan your scopes before creating bundles. If you want different bundles for different product categories, map out which products belong to which bundle before you start. This avoids overlap issues later.
Check your existing bundles before creating a new one. Glance at the Bundle Deals dashboard to see what's active and what scope each bundle covers. This takes a few seconds and saves you from running into conflict errors.
💡 A good rule of thumb: if you have more than one bundle, don't use "All products" on any of them. Use specific collections or products for each, keeping the scopes cleanly separated.
