Customizing your page before importing

After Atlas generates your page, you'll land on the "Customize your page" screen. This is where you can review and edit everything Atlas created before importing it into your theme. A live preview appears on the right side so you can see your changes in real time.

You don't have to customize anything here. You can import the page as-is and make changes later in your Shopify theme editor. But if you want to fine-tune your content before going live, this is the place to do it.

In this article:

How the customization screen works

The customization screen is split into two areas:

  • Left panel. Contains all the editable sections organized under "Customize" and "Product" menus.

  • Right panel. A live preview of your page that updates as you make changes.

Click any section in the left menu to open its fields. Every text field is pre-filled with AI-generated content based on your product data and ICP settings. You can edit any field directly by clicking on it and typing.

As you scroll through the live preview on the right, you'll see how each section maps to a visible area of your page. The sections in the left panel follow the same order as the page layout from top to bottom, so it's easy to find which fields control which part of your page.

Colors

Controls the overall color scheme of your page. This affects the look of your entire page.

Where it appears on the page: The color scheme is applied globally across all sections, including backgrounds, buttons, accents, and text highlights.

You have three options:

1 - Color Style. Choose between Solid or Gradient for your page background.

2 - Color Presets. Pick from a variety of pre-made color combinations. This is the fastest way to match your brand look.

3 - Custom Colors. Set your own Primary and Tertiary colors using the color picker or by entering hex values directly.

💡 If you already have brand colors, use the hex value fields to enter them exactly. This ensures your page matches the rest of your store.

This section only appears when you've selected Home page or Home and Product as your page type. It controls all the content on your generated home page.

Product Information

Controls the core product details that appear at the top of your product page, near the product images and Add to Cart button.

1 - Product tagline. A short, attention-grabbing line that appears just above or below the product title.

2 - Icon bullet points. Four short feature highlights that appear as badges or icons near the product details (e.g., "Ultimate Comfort," "Versatile Style"). These are one of the first things visitors read.

  • Icon bullet point 1-4

3 - Product description dropdown. The main product description and its supporting detail points. This content appears inside an expandable dropdown on the product page.

  • Description

  • Description point 1-4

ℹ️ The icon bullet points appear prominently near the top of your product page. Keep them short and benefit-focused for maximum impact.

Most Common Questions

Controls two types of Q&A content on your product page. These appear below the product details section and are designed to answer objections and build buyer confidence.

Most common questions. A dedicated Q&A block that appears near the product description, answering the top questions buyers typically have.

  • Question 1-3

  • Answer 1-3

FAQ section. A more detailed FAQ block displayed further down the page, covering additional product-specific questions.

  • FAQ question 1-4

  • FAQ response 1-4

💡 Review the AI-generated answers carefully. Make sure they accurately reflect your product's features, shipping policies, and sizing details. Accurate Q&A content reduces support tickets and builds trust.

Visuals & Media

Controls the visual storytelling blocks on your product page. These sections appear in the middle-to-lower portion of the page, between the product details and the trust-building sections.

Image with text section. A content block combining imagery with persuasive copy, designed to tell a visual story about your product.

Horizontal scrolling text. Short, rotating text items that highlight product features or selling points.

  • Text 1-4

Persuasion & Benefits

Controls the trust-building and conversion-focused blocks toward the bottom of your product page. These sections are designed to push hesitant visitors toward a purchase decision.

Reasons to buy section. Stat-based social proof blocks that display persuasive data points. This is the same section that also appears under Visuals & Media. Editing it in either location updates both.

  • Heading

  • Stat block subheading 1-3 (each with a corresponding stat block sentence)

Comparison section. A list-style comparison highlighting what sets your product apart from alternatives.

  • Heading

  • Description

  • Row 1-5

Key features section. A benefits-focused block that highlights your product's main advantages with supporting descriptions.

  • Heading

  • Benefit heading 1-3 (each with a corresponding benefit subheading)

💡 The Persuasion & Benefits section is where a lot of conversions happen. Make sure your stat blocks feel authentic and your comparison rows clearly differentiate your product from alternatives.

Importing after customization

When you're done customizing, click the Import your page button in the top right corner. For the full import process and what happens after, see How to generate pages with Atlas

You can also skip customization entirely and edit your page later in the Shopify theme editor. Every section you see here is also accessible through the theme editor after import.

⚠️ Changes you make here are not saved until you import. If you leave the customization screen without importing, you can return to it from the Atlas dashboard by clicking the pencil icon next to your page in the "Your recent pages" section.
