The theme extensions card on your Atlas dashboard is the fastest diagnosis available in the product. It has a switch for each of the three Atlas extensions on your published theme, so you can see which are on and turn on any that are off. When something Atlas-related stops working, look here first.

The card sits on your Atlas dashboard, below your projects. The card has no heading: look for the line that counts the extensions that are on, for example 2 of 3 extensions enabled, followed by three switches.

The card has one switch per extension. Each switch has a shorter name than the extension has in Shopify's theme editor.

A switch that is on means that extension is on your published theme. A switch that is off shows Off. The summary line counts the switches that are on, so 3 of 3 extensions enabled means all three extensions are in place.

The difference between the types is not cosmetic. The two embeds are switched on once per theme, so Atlas can turn them on and off for you. The Bundler is a block placed on a template, so you place it or remove it yourself in the theme editor.

Select the switch that shows Off. What happens next depends on the extension.

For Store builder or Cart upsells: Atlas turns the app embed on directly in your published theme, without opening the theme editor, so there is nothing to save. While Atlas saves, the summary line names the switch, for example Turning on Cart upsells…. Atlas confirms with the switch and your published theme's name, for example Cart upsells is live on Dawn, or Cart upsells is on when the theme name is not available. Shopify can take a few seconds to report the change, and the card re-checks by itself.

For Bundle upsells: Shopify's theme editor opens in a new tab on your product template, with the Atlas Bundler block staged for adding. Position the block, usually just above the add to cart button, then press Save. Back in Atlas, the card re-checks when you return to the tab and shows the Bundle upsells switch on.

If Atlas cannot turn on Store builder or Cart upsells, you will see the switch named, for example We couldn't turn on Cart upsells. Try again, or turn it on in the theme editor., with an Open theme editor link. Select the switch once more, or use the link, turn the embed on in the theme editor, and press Save there.

For Store builder or Cart upsells: selecting a switch that is on opens a dialog titled with the switch's name, for example Turn off Store builder?, with Turn off and Cancel. The warning depends on the switch:

Select Turn off to go ahead. Each message names the switch. The summary line reads, for example, Turning off Store builder… while Atlas saves, then Atlas confirms with Store builder is off. If it fails you will see We couldn't turn off Store builder. Try again, or turn it off in the theme editor.

For Bundle upsells: selecting the switch opens Shopify's theme editor in a new tab on your product template. Remove the Atlas Bundler block there and press Save. The card shows the change when you return to Atlas.

If Atlas cannot read your theme you will see:

Couldn't check your theme extensions. Re-check in a moment.

with a Re-check button.

This means the check failed, not that your extensions are off. Select Re-check after a moment. If it keeps failing, your Atlas features may still be working fine, so test your storefront directly before assuming anything is broken.

So you do not over-trust a row of switches that are on:

It does not check non-published themes. A page published into a draft theme needs the extensions on that theme too, and the card will not tell you whether they are there.

It does not tell you which product template the Bundler is on. The Bundle upsells switch is on when the block exists on a product template, not necessarily the one your bundled products use. If bundles show on some products and not others, this is the reason.

It does not check whether your features are configured. An Atlas Cart Upsells embed that is on, with no active cart drawer, shows the Cart upsells switch on and an empty cart.

It does not check for conflicting apps. Another cart drawer app can win against Atlas while all three extensions report as working.
