Who this is for: Hosts who claim upholstery and carpet cleaning jobs.
What is this job about?
You rent a carpet cleaner with an upholstery tool, deep clean the carpet and upholstery in a Landing home, and return the machine. Check the job description to see what the job covers. It might list specific areas that need cleaning, whether for a stain, an odor, or both, or it might cover the entire home, including all the carpet and furniture such as the couch, rugs, and headboards.
Rent the machine wherever one is available and most convenient for you, and pay with your PEX Card. Rug Doctor and BISSELL Big Green machines are rented at stores such as Walmart, The Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, and grocery stores like Kroger, Publix, Safeway, and H-E-B. Use the Rug Doctor rental location finder or the BISSELL rental location finder to find one nearby, and call ahead to check a machine is available.
Some stores hold a refundable deposit on your card, so ask Landing to load enough on your PEX Card for the rental, the upholstery tool, the cleaning solution, and any deposit. This is a critical job, so if you cannot make it, let Landing know as early as you can.
What do I need before I start?
Before you head out, check you have everything in this table.

Don't skip these
Complete every task in the Host App as instructed, and upload the photos each task asks for. A job is not complete until every task is done. Pay particular attention to these:
"Assessing the Issue." Use the job description to find the areas to clean and whether you are treating a stain, an odor, or both, and look for any other areas that need attention.
"Prep the Area." Vacuum and lint roll before you start the carpet cleaner. For the entire home, also lift pet hair with a dryer sheet, apply the carpet deodorizer, and vacuum again.
"Clean Area 1, 2, and 3." Upload a photo of each cleaned area from different angles, so Landing can see the result. Then fill out the Home Condition form, in the task called "Home Condition Reporting" or "Report Outstanding Issues."
"Head Back to the Store." Return the machine to the store you rented it from before you finish the job.
