📐 One Parts Library: Stair Types Are Now in Catalogs, More Coming Soon

Higharc Release Notes

All your building parts, in one place.

Higharc is moving your building part catalogs out of global settings and into the Catalogs sidebar in Studio. When it's done, every type will live in one CDM library, so it's easier to find, simpler to manage and quicker to update across every plan.

Stairs have moved, and windows, doors, railings, columns, profiles and casework are next.

Your building parts, together in the Catalogs sidebar.

Find and edit your types right in Catalogs, starting with Stairs.

What's moving, and when

We're moving catalog items over in phases, one catalog at a time, so each move is validated before the next one begins.

  • Now: Stairs. Your stair types have moved to Catalogs → Stairs.

  • Next: Casework, Railings, Columns, Windows, and Doors

The update is designed such that Homes generate exactly as before. Published home plans aren't affected, and other settings like casing, materials and framing will stay as is. You'll see a release highlight each time a catalog moves.

What to do

When you see the release note for a catalog:

  1. Open Catalogs. Your types are grouped under the same names as before.

  2. Open two or three homes and check that things look right.

  3. If anything looks problematic, send @Support Higharc the file link and a screenshot.

💡 Tip: Keep your CDM published and your plans updated to it, so your CDM and plans move to Catalogs together and your types match across every plan.

FAQs

  • Deleted types are flagged, not swapped. If a Catalog an Instance Object uses is deleted, Studio shows a Missing link so you choose the replacement. Stairs keep rendering while you pick a new stair type.

  • Add option conditions to new items. Instance items you already placed keep their option rules. When you place a new item that should only show for certain options, add the condition to that item just as you did before.

  • CDM items stay read-only in plans, with a source badge, so your library stays consistent.

  • Questions? If anything looks different after a move, send @Support Higharc the file link and a screenshot and we'll help you sort it out.
