Top & Tailing templates

This gives you the ability to add your branding to appended and prepended documents.

These documents will then show in portals, or when downloading a candidate’s profile, before and/or after the profile itself.

It’s a great way to add documents you don’t need to edit, for example, to show off your candidate’s portfolio, or to add your company’s terms and conditions.

You can add these documents both while working on a AssistCV candidate’s profile within Bullhorn, or on a general level when in the AssistCV Admin Template.

Follow the guide below to find out more!

Within Bullhorn:

N.B.: this will apply the changes only to the candidate’s AssistCV profile you are editing.

Access a candidate profile, and then click on the AssistCV tab.

Click on “Create profile” (you can also select an existing AssistCV profile you have previously created)

In Edit mode, you can prepend a document by clicking on “Upload document” at the top of the AssistCV template. If you instead wish to append a document, scroll to the bottom of the template, and click on the “Upload document” button you’ll find there.

Of course, you can both append and prepend a document to your template.

In Design mode, the button to append and prepend a document would be in the navigation window on the left.

When you hit “Upload document”, you can decide to use a file already stored against the candidate’s profile in Bullhorn, or upload a new one from your computer.

If you want the template’s footer and header to show on the appended/prepended document, tick “Apply branding”.

Don’t forget to hit “Save” to apply your changes: an icon with the document file name will now show at the top (or the bottom) of the template.

You can replace the document by clicking the + icon, delete the current document appended/prepended by clicking the bin icon, or check it by clicking the eye icon.

Please note, if you have decided to apply the template’s branding to the document, clicking the eye icon won’t display the header and footer. To see what the final document would look like, please use the “preview” button.

Within AssistCV Admin Dashboard:

The AssistCV Admin Dashboard is accessible to AssistCV users with admin permissions.

From here, you can apply changes to a template so they will reflect on every candidate you’ll use that template for. However, you can still apply changes individually for each candidate if needed, using AssistCV within Bullhorn.

To add documents to the template, log into the AssistCV Admin Dashboard, then click on the “Templates” tab on the left.

Select the template you want to update, and click on the pencil icon to edit.

Select “Upload document” from the navigation bar at the left: you can decide to use a file already stored against the candidate’s profile in Bullhorn, or upload a new one from your computer.

If you want the template’s footer and header to show on the appended/prepended document, tick “Apply branding”.

Click on “save” to apply your changes, and an icon with the file name will appear at the top (or at the bottom) of the template.

You can replace the selected document by clicking the + icon, or delete the current document appended/prepended by clicking the bin icon. If you just wish to check the document you selected, click on the eye icon.

Please note, if you have decided to apply the branding to the document, clicking the eye icon won’t display the header and footer. To see what the final document would look like, please use the “preview” button.

All done! When downloading the candidate’s profile, you will now see the documents you added. If you have selected “Apply branding” when uploading, your template’s header and footer will show on the documents you added, too.
