Creating and Managing Templates

Creating CV templates for your users, including the use of AI-tags.

Written by AssistCV

When you parse a CV, the data will be automatically restructured in a pre-set template for you. There's a default template in AssistCV you can use. Alternatively, you can build your own template(s) to showcase your candidates exactly as you want. This is done in the Admin Dashboard so only those with the necessary permissions will have access to build these. Here's how...👇

First, head to the Admin Dashboard. Next enter the Templates section, which is found in the left-hand menu, and click '+ New Template'.

You'll then be prompted to give your template a name and description - make it obvious to your users what this template should be used for as, once saved, it'll be available for them to choose from when formatting their CVs.

Next, you'll enter the template builder. Templates are built out by adding content blocks. Once added, you have a variety of formatting and layout options, allowing you to design your templates exactly as you need. Watch our video walkthrough below for a step-by-step guide on creating and editing templates, including the use of AI-tags.

Creating Templates for Different Brands

We recommend using ‘Brands’ if you have several different brands which require 3+ templates each. This just keeps everything easily accessible for your users. If you have multiple brands, but only one template per brand, you can simply create multiple templates with different headers and footers within the one brand.

Templates are applied at brand level so that users only have access to the templates associated with the brand(s) they're assigned to. If you have multiple brands, you can create a template for each. To do this, click the 'Switch Brand’ button top left to add brands or remove brands.
