AssistCV for Bullhorn features a full CV formatting tool and editing suite, complete with advanced AI capabilities that can be used to create striking CVs in minutes. You can then distribute these to your clients from inside AssistCV, or you can download them for sending via email. You can access the formatter in two different ways:
from a vacancy - choose this option if you want to send a digital shortlist.
from a candidate record - choose this option if you want to spec out an individual candidate or if you want to download their formatted profile for sending via email.
Once you’ve opened either a vacancy or a candidate's record, select ‘AssistCV’ and you’ll be met with two options, both of which let you format the CV into a pre-defined template set by your agency.
‘Parse CV' - Parsing a CV lets you select a candidate file or upload a new CV which will then be automatically formatted into your pre-set template. When you do this, you'll have the opportunity to check that the parsed information matches the original before pressing ‘Save and Sync’ to move on to the editing suite.
‘Create/Edit Profile’ - Creating or editing a profile lets you edit a previously formatted CV or, if this hasn't been done before, information from the candidate's record in Bullhorn will pull through for editing.
Editing the CV
Once you've completed either steps 1 or 2 above you'll enter the editing suite. To get started, select a template from the dropdown as shown below.
The templates available to you will have been pre-set by your Administrator. However, you can make changes to ensure your candidate is being presented exactly as you want before downloading the CV or sending it on via the AssistCV portal. There are two ways to make updates:
In the 'Edit' tab - this is the default tab when you enter a candidate profile from inside AssistCV. From here you can move sections, delete sections and update the text. You can also prepend or append another document - for example, the candidate's portfolio.
In the 'Design' tab - if you need to make more sizeable changes to the CV before sending it on, head to the 'Design' tab. From here you can edit the layout of the template, make changes to the header and footer, font, document colours and more. For more information on editing the CV from inside the Design tab, read this article >>
Please note that any changes you make will not impact the master template set by your Administrator, only the candidate's profile that you're editing. You can revert to previous versions of the template at any time by selecting the desired version number in the tab to the right of the 'Template’ drop-down.
When you're happy with your CV and are ready to send it out, use the preview button to make sure everything looks as you want it to. Then you can either download the document as a PDF or a Word doc or submit the candidate digitally via our AssistCV portal which you can learn more about here >>
