Creating and Managing AI Tags

Use our AI enhanced features when creating your CVs templates.

Written by AssistCV

When building out your CV templates (more on that here >>) Admin users can leverage the power of AI to auto-generate content in your formatted CVs, saving your users even more time at the editing stage. For example, if you want AI to include an auto-generated candidate summary on the cover page in your template, you can create an AI tag to do that for you.

Create / manage AI tags in the following places

Design mode

Go to Design Mode on a Candidate Profile

Open the Content Section

  • Click on the ‘Content’ header on the right side of the screen.

Select a Block

  • Choose the block where you want to add or edit an AI tag.

Create or Edit an AI Tag

  • Click the + next to the AI tag to create a new one.

  • Click the pencil icon to edit an existing AI tag.

Admin dashboard >>

  1. Access the ‘Templates’ tab in the Admin Dashboard and click ‘Manage AI Tags’.

  2. On the next screen, click ‘+ New Tag’.

  3. Enter a name and description for your tag.

  4. If you want users to be able to edit templates to suit a particular vacancy - more on that below - check the 'Include Vacancy Details' box.

  5. Finally, and most importantly, add your prompt. The prompt instructs our in-built AI bot to generate the content you're looking for when a tag is present in a template.

AI Tag Prompts

AI queries are not an exact science. The more specific you are about the output you're looking for, the more accurate the results will be, and the more likely they are to work across multiple CVs. With that in mind, we recommend testing your tags by parsing some CVs through AssistCV. If the output isn't quite right, simply return to the tag and edit it. It may take you a few attempts to get them right. When you're happy, add your tag to your template, and you're good to go. Here's some examples to get. your started.

Note: Even the most detailed tags are unlikely to work perfectly on every. That's why users are able to edit the results on a case-by-case basis, without impacting your tag or template. More on that here >>

Include Vacancy Details

Checking this box for an AI tag gives your users the ability to select a vacancy while they're in the editing suite to tailor the response of the tag to the job in question. If you have tags with the 'Include vacancy Details' check box ticked, a Vacancy dropdown box will appear next to the candidate's name when they're in the editor, as shown below.

The user can then select a vacancy from the list and our AI bot will scan the job information in Bullhorn to tailor the response to the job details. To set the scan in motion, the user needs to refresh it by clicking 'Try again' following the vacancy selection.

Clicking “Refine AI response” will help you review and improve your response on a case-by-case basis. You can use the provided buttons or add a requirement in the “custom prompt” box, as shown in the joke example below.
