The Presentation Generator is a fast and flexible AI tool that helps you create professional, engaging presentations in minutes.

Whether you’re preparing a quick lesson intro or building an in-depth slideshow aligned to standards, this tool saves time and supports clarity in instruction.

What Can the Presentation Generator Do?

The Presentation Generator:

  • Creates PowerPoint or Google Slides-style presentations based on your topic or objectives

  • Allows you to customize the grade level, number of slides, and presentation duration

  • Aligns to instructional programs and standards

  • Incorporates additional context or differentiation considerations to support your students

Perfect for lesson delivery, small group instruction, flipped classrooms, or student-facing review, the Presentation Generator streamlines prep and boosts presentation quality.

Using the Tool

  1. Select a Program from the dropdown menu to connect your presentation to a specific instructional resource or curriculum you're using. Once you've selected a program, choose a Module/Unit and Instructional Routine.

  2. Next, choose the Grade Level to make sure the content is developmentally appropriate and aligned with your students' learning goals.

  3. Pick the Number of Slides you want in your presentation — options range from brief (3 slides) to more developed (up to 10+).

  4. Set the Duration for how long the presentation should take (e.g., 5, 10, or 20 minutes), so the pacing aligns with your instructional time.

  5. Then enter the Topic or Learning Objective(s) in the main text box. This can be a concept, standard, or specific lesson focus. Be as detailed as possible for better output.

    • For example: "Explain the water cycle including evaporation, condensation, and precipitation” or “Introduce argumentative writing structure to Grade 6 students.”

  6. Upload a File (Optional) if you want the AI to base the presentation on a specific document, such as a lesson plan, standard, or reading selection.

  7. Provide Additional Information (Optional) in the second box to give context about your students or setting—such as accommodations, prior knowledge, or classroom needs. This helps personalize the presentation content.

  8. Click Generate and your AI-created presentation will be ready to review and refine.

  9. Click on Export Presentation to export your slides to Google Slides or PowerPoint.

What's Next?

Once your presentation is generated:

  • Review the content slide by slide to ensure it aligns with your instructional goals. You can edit the text directly in your preferred presentation platform.

  • Use the export options to download your presentation in PowerPoint or Google Slides format for easy delivery in class.

  • Click “Details” to revise your original prompt or make adjustments to grade level, number of slides, or duration.

  • Chat with HMH Assist on the left if you’d like help refining your presentation, adding visuals, or breaking down complex topics for your students.

  • View the Suggested Links provided by HMH Assist to enhance your lesson with additional resources.

  • Explore next steps with AI tools, such as generating a quiz to assess understanding, creating a reading to accompany your slides, or designing a writing prompt based on the topic.

With the Presentation Generator, you can go from idea to instruction in just minutes—personalized, clear, and classroom-ready.
