New TRT patients can access their initial blood test completely free through Medicare bulk billing.
From 27th August 2026, ongoing blood tests for existing TRT patients are bulk billed through Medicare automatically when you attend a Healius collection centre — no action, claim, or Medicare form is required from you. The bulk billing happens at the time of collection.
Your subscription and doctor consultations are privately billed and do not attract a Medicare rebate. No rebate can be claimed for these services.
PSA exception: If you have had a PSA test bulk billed through Medicare recently, Medicare may not bulk bill it again at your next blood test. In this case, Healius may charge you for that specific marker. If you are charged, please contact us and we can advise further.
