Can I submit a Medicare rebate?

Can I submit a Medicare rebate for my treatment subscription or medication at Hormn?

Written by Hormn

New TRT patients can access their initial blood test completely free through Medicare bulk billing.

From 27th August 2026, ongoing blood tests for existing TRT patients are bulk billed through Medicare automatically when you attend a Healius collection centre — no action, claim, or Medicare form is required from you. The bulk billing happens at the time of collection. Your subscription and doctor consultations are privately billed and do not attract a Medicare rebate. No rebate can be claimed for these services. PSA exception: If you have had a PSA test bulk billed through Medicare recently, Medicare may not bulk bill it again at your next blood test. In this case, Healius may charge you for that specific marker. If you are charged, please contact us and we can advise further.

  • Bulk billing for ongoing blood tests applies automatically at the point of collection at a Healius centre — no claim or form needed.

  • No Medicare rebates apply to subscription fees or doctor consultations — these are billed privately.

  • All services other than bulk billed blood tests are billed privately outside the public system.

Payment is via credit or debit card only. No payment plans are available.
