Onboarding
Where can I find the requirements for acceptable documents for bank and AML?
We have a guided agent help sheet in the Onboarding portal. This will explain what we are looking for and which documents are acceptable.
What is the difference between a new agent, a returning agent, a transferring agent, and an advanced market agent?
o New agent – This is an agent who has just received their license or is unlicensed and has no prior experience in the industry. Or an agent that has experience in the industry but is not tied to another IMO and is considered a free agent. Once their application is approved it produces a welcome letter with the agency owner’s SureLC affiliation link. This path allows clear visibility of the agent's carrier contracts.
o Returning Agent – This agent was previously contracted with SFG. The seasoned affiliation link is sent in the welcome email. Once the agent has reviewed and completed their contracts, the home office will confirm. Once the contracts have been confirmed by our team, the affiliation will switch, giving visibility to the agency.
o Transferring Agent – This agent is contracted under another IMO and not considered a free agent, locking them up with certain carriers. The seasoned affiliation link is sent in the welcome email. The home office will base carrier selection on what is in the agent's application. The home office will send the links to the agent. Once the agent has reviewed and completed their contracts, the home office will confirm. Once the contracts have been confirmed by our team, the affiliation will switch, giving visibility to the agency.
o Advanced Market Agent – This agent is focused on only Advanced Market Solutions. DFL, IUL, IBC, and Annuities. The seasoned affiliation link is sent in the welcome email. Once the agent has reviewed and completed their contracts, the home office will confirm. Once the contracts have been confirmed by our team, the affiliation will switch, giving visibility to the agency.
What happens if I recruit an agent at the same commission level as me or while at an 80% level?
An agent can recruit another agent at the same level of commission but will not receive overrides until they are 85% or higher.
Why has my downline’s and/or my own onboarding packet not been processed yet?
Normally, this is indicative of something absent or pending.
Please go through your e-mail [Including 'Spam/Junk' folders] and collaborate with your agency owner (AO) and/or administrator(s) for any possible communication regarding outstanding requirements.
NOTE: Completed packets are prioritized; hence, incomplete or pending agents are processed within 24 to 72 business hours from onboarding’s receipt of previously unresolved items.
Have your agency owner (AO) and/or administrator(s) look over your application for any notes left by staff for revision. If everything looks to be correct, please request your agency owner (AO) submit a support ticket on your behalf, containing the full legal name(s) and email address(es) of those involved, in addition to the inquiry or update that is requested.
