Connecting the Stripe Connector in Hurree
Connectors are the tools from which you collect the specific data points you want to display in a Widget. As long as you have an account with the tool you want to connect with, you can sync this data into Hurree.
1. Navigate to the Add Widget Button
Log in to your Hurree account.
On your Dashboard, click the + Add Widget button located at the top right corner.
2. Select the Stripe Connector
On the next screen, you will see a complete list of available connectors.
Locate the Stripe card and click the connect icon.
Step 3: Generate Your Secret API Key in Stripe
You will be asked to provide your Secret API Key. Follow the steps below to create one:
Secret Key Method
Visit the Stripe Developers Dashboard.
Click Create Secret Key.
Choose Providing this key to another website and click Continue.
We are aware of this callout, it is related to plugins. We safely handle your data.
Enter a Name (we suggest using Hurree) and add the Hurree URL (hurree.co), then click Create Restricted Key.
Customise settings:
Set all permissions that have the option to READ.
For the remaining permissions, NONE is acceptable.
Ensure that you scroll to the bottom to cover all permissions.
Complete your 2FA in Stripe to confirm the key creation.
Once verified, copy your Secret API Key (you can optionally leave a note in Stripe to show this key is for Hurree).
Step 4: Paste Your API Key in Hurree
Return to Hurree and paste your Secret API Key into the required field in the pop-up.
Click Save to finalise the connection.
Step 5: Confirm the Connection
Once successfully connected, your Stripe account will sync with Hurree. You will then be able to display your Stripe data in Widgets.
Step 6: Disconnecting a Connector (Optional)
If you want to disconnect the Stripe Connector in the future, you can go to your Account Settings.
Navigate to the Connectors tab and select Disconnect on the Stripe card.
Important Note
If you do not have an administrator or developer role in Stripe, you may not be able to view or create API keys. In that case, contact the owner of the Stripe account to request access.
