What are custom voices?
Custom voices let you bring your own voice (or a voice you have permission to use) into Hypernatural. Once created, you can use that voice for:
Narrating your videos
Giving specific characters a consistent sound
Note: Custom voices are only available on certain paid plans and may have limits based on your subscription. Please check our pricing page for the most up-to-date details on custom voice availability for your plan.
Where can I create a custom voice?
You can create a new custom voice in three places:
From “My Videos” → "My voices"
Go to My Videos in the app.
Open the Voices section.
Click Create custom voice.
While creating or editing a character
Open a character or create a new one.
In the Voice section, choose Create new voice.
While editing your script (narrator selection)
Open a video and go to the Script or Editor.
When choosing a narrator voice, select Create custom voice.
💡 Tip: No matter where you create it, the voice will be saved to your account and can be reused in other videos.
What do I need to create a custom voice?
To create a custom voice, you’ll need:
A clean recording of the voice (either recorded directly in Hypernatural or uploaded as an audio file).
At least 15 seconds of speech (longer is better for quality and consistency).
Permission from the voice owner if it’s not your voice.
What happens after I create a custom voice?
Once you save a custom voice:
It will appear in your My voices list.
You can select it for narrators and characters in your projects.
You cannot edit or rename the voice after saving. If you’re not happy with it, you’ll need to delete it and create a new one.
