Use voices in a video

Apply voices to narration or characters and control how your video sounds.

Voices control how your video is delivered — from narration to character dialogue.

You can use voices in two ways:

  • As a narrator (voiceover for the whole video)

  • For characters (dialogue within scenes)

Add a voice when creating a video

After you enter your prompt and generate a script, you’ll see a setup screen where you can review your video before generating.

From here, you can:

  • Select or change the narrator voice

  • Assign voices to characters

  • Confirm other ingredients like style, product, or logo

Make any changes here before clicking Make video.

Change voices in an existing video

To update voices after generating:

  1. Open your video

  2. Go to the Script tab

  3. Under Characters, select:

    • The narrator to change the voiceover

    • A character to update their voice

Changes will apply when you regenerate or update your video.

Narrator vs character voices

  • Narrator → one voice used across the entire video

  • Character voices → assigned per character for dialogue

Using both together helps create more dynamic, story-driven videos.

Tips

  • Use consistent voices for branding and recognition

  • Match voice tone to your video style (e.g. energetic, calm, conversational)

  • Use a narrator for clarity, and characters for storytelling
