Add, edit, or remove voiceover

Voiceover is a separate narration track from your shots — add it, edit the script or voice, or remove it entirely, using the timeline or chat.

What voiceover is

Voiceover is a narration track that plays across your timeline, separate from any dialogue baked into a shot's animation. You can add, edit, move, or remove it independently of your shots.

Add voiceover (Timeline)

  1. Switch to Timeline view.

  2. Click Add voiceover on the empty voiceover row (or click anywhere in that row to start at that point).

  3. In the Voiceover panel, pick a voice and type your script.

  4. Click Generate voiceover. The button shows the credit cost before you confirm.

The voice picker defaults to whichever voice you used most recently — so if you want something different, don't skip past it. This is also where you'll find any custom voices you've created, alongside the built-in options.

Edit an existing voiceover track

  • Click the voiceover block on the timeline to reopen the panel, pre-filled with its script.

  • Edit the text or change the voice, then click Regenerate Voiceover.

  • Use the Volume (0–100%) and Speed (0.6x–1.75x) sliders to adjust how it sounds without regenerating.

  • Drag the block on the timeline to reposition it.

Voiceover scripts can be up to 10,000 characters.

Remove voiceover

Select the voiceover block on the timeline and use the remove ("x") action to delete the track.

Use chat instead

You can make the same changes by describing what you want in chat:

  • "Make the voiceover a bit shorter"

  • "Swap the narrator to Rebecca"

  • "Move the voiceover to start after shot 2"

  • "Split the narration before 'I am your host'"

  • "Remove the voiceover"

Chat can rewrite, resize, re-voice, move, split, or delete an existing voiceover track. To generate a brand-new voiceover from scratch, use the Voiceover panel's Generate flow.

Swapping the voice everywhere

If you want to replace a voice across your entire video (not just one track), use the Refs tab to pick a replacement and confirm — this regenerates every affected shot or track for a shown credit cost.
