What happens if I run out of credits?

Updated this week

Credits are used when generating content in Custom Mode, including custom visuals, animations, and premium narration.

If you run out of credits, you will not be able to generate additional Custom Mode content until more credits are available. However, you can still create 30-second Stock Mode videos on the Free plan.

There are a few ways to continue creating content.

Option 1: Purchase additional credits

Users on paid plans can also purchase additional credits directly from the app.

Purchased credits are added to your account and can be used immediately.

Additional credit purchases are not available on the Free plan.

Option 2: Upgrade to a plan with more credits

The easiest way to continue generating videos is to upgrade to a plan with a higher monthly credit allotment.

When you upgrade, you receive additional credits immediately on a prorated basis for the remainder of your billing cycle.

Example:

If you upgrade from a plan that includes 1,000 monthly credits to a plan with 4,000 credits, you will receive the difference in credits based on the time remaining in your billing cycle. At your next renewal date, you will receive the full credit allotment of the new plan.

What happens if I switch to a plan with fewer credits?

Switching to a plan that includes fewer credits than your current plan is considered a downgrade.

Downgrading can cause your account to show negative credits. This happens when you have already used more credits during the current billing cycle than the new plan provides.

Example:

  • Your current plan includes 4,000 credits

  • You have already used 3,000 credits

  • You switch to a plan that includes 1,000 credits

Your account would show –2,000 credits until your next billing cycle. At your next renewal date, your account will reset with the credit allotment included in your new plan.

What can I do if I have no credits left?

If you have no credits remaining, you can still:

  • create 30-second videos

  • use Stock Mode

  • use standard (non-premium) narration

  • export directly to social platforms

Generating Custom Mode videos, longer videos, or premium features requires credits and an active paid subscription.
