Voiceover or music?
Attach an audio file to chat or the prompt box. What happens next depends on whether the file has spoken words:
Has any spoken words → transcribed and placed on the Voiceover track, with visuals generated to match the narration.
No spoken words (e.g. an instrumental or a song with no vocals) → placed on the Music track, with shots generated to span its full length.
The more context you give, the better
You can just attach a file and say "make a video from this audio" — that works. But Hypernatural doesn't analyze the audio itself (it doesn't detect genre, mood, or lyrics), so without direction — especially for music with no words — you'll get generic filler shots rather than visuals that match the vibe.
For better results, describe what you want in the same message — style, setting, characters, mood:
"Make a video from this audio"
"Make a video for this audio in @neon-style featuring @Sarah in a rainy city, like New York City"
"Build shots for this track — upbeat summer road trip, golden hour, beach setting"
This applies to narrated audio too: the transcript drives your voiceover either way, but adding visual direction gives you more control over the shots generated to match it.
New video or existing one?
Empty project — a new video is built from scratch around the audio.
Existing project — the narration or shots are appended to your current video, matching its existing style and references.
When to use this vs. the Music panel
Use this when you want an audio file to drive new visuals — narration or a full music video. If you just want to add a song or background track with no visual generation, use the Music panel instead — anything uploaded there always stays on the Music track, transcribed or not.
