Absentee and Early Voting

Enabling AB/EV for your Campaign

Absentee and Early Voting have become an essential part of the election process. i360 makes it easy to track those who have already requested a ballot and voted. The first step for enabling AB/EV is to reach out to your account manager to ask them to start the process of allowing AB/EV. i360 will start the process of collecting data once you have discussed it with your account manager and confirmed the area which you need AB/EV data for.

Survey Scrubbing

Once your account manager has enabled AB/EV voting for your database, you will have the criteria 'Exclude individuals who have already voted' enabled by default. This option will exclude anyone who has already voted in the lead-up to your election. If you wish to remove this option, simply delete it from the Search criteria by selecting the trash can icon.

Enabling this option will impact any surveys inside of their respective apps. Any contact who has requested a ballot or already voted will have a ballot box or check mark appear next to their name in the i360 Walk app. A ballot box will indicate this individual has requested a ballot. A check mark will indicate they have already voted.

The i360 Call app and callingfromhome.com will not scrub the survey to exclude any individual who has already voted.

AB/EV: Search Function

The AB/EV tab inside of the Search function will allow you to break down the different levels of data provided by the state. To access this data navigate to the Search and then choose the tab AB/EV in the bottom left of the screen.

The AB/EV tab will allow you to break the data down into various metrics for your tracking purposes.

  • Election: The Election dropdown will show the available elections that we are tracking AB/EV for. Please select an election before making an additional selection.

  • Ballot Party: The ballot party selection will show the available parties that we ingest AB/EV for. This varies on a state level depending on what they provide.

  • Ballot Requested: Ballot Requested is the list of voters inside of the state that has requested an AB/EV ballot for the election that we are tracking. This metric also allows you to track when the ballot was first requested.

  • Ballot Mailed to Voter: This metric tracks those voters who have a ballot mailed to them. It also allows you to track when the ballot was mailed to them if applicable.

  • Ballot Returned: This metric tracks those voters that have returned their absentee ballot. It also allows you to track when the ballot was returned.

  • Early Voting: This metric tracks those voters who have voted early in-person. It also allows you to track when they voted early.

Historical AB/EV

Historical AB/EV can be retrieved from the AB/EV tab in Search. For recent elections, please allow 4-6 weeks (on average) for information to show up in Portal. As soon as we receive the file from the state, we put it into our internal database.

If a specific historical election is not appearing in this section, please reach out to your account manager. We will likely need to reach out to our Data Services team to make a special request.
