As you revisit neighborhoods in different surveys, the best way to ensure you're not accidentally hitting the same door is by excluding households. This is a multi-step process that requires tagging and importing.
Use case: You talked to John Smith at his house on 123 Main Street, but you didn't talk to anyone else. Amy Smith also lives at 123 Main Street, and she's in your newly created audience. While you can easily remove John from your new audience by excluding the Take Survey tag, you may also want to make sure Amy is removed so you don't have John answer again.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Save a list of individuals that you've already talked to in Search (those in the Survey - Walk tag, etc.).
2. Export the list and check 'Add All Household Members' on the File Export page. Export as a 'Full List' under List Type.
3. Receive the file, save it to your desktop, and head to Contacts > Imports.
4. Import that list as a standard import, apply a global tag (An auto one is fine, if you'd like. You'll be able to find that under tag category: Imports; tag: name of your import).
5. Import as a UID file. Required fields include UID and state. UID can go under 'i360 UID'.
6. Once imported, create your new audience in Search and go to the tags tab.
7. Exclude the 'Imports: (name of your import)' tag
8. Save this search and use this new audience in your survey.
