Dynamic Scripting

Dynamic Scripting is available for all clients who wish to use multiple scripts in a single survey. For example, if you'd like to target individuals who have strong opinions about certain issue areas (based on i360 Models), you can tailor your script to address those issues. The scenario would look something like:

John and Jane Smith share a household. John works in education and Jane works in healthcare. You have created multiple audiences that target specific issue groups: Fiscal Issues, Education, Energy, and Healthcare.

Your dynamic survey was created by matching each issue group with a custom script. At the door or on the phone, you will see a script about education for John. If you talk to Jane, you'll see a script for healthcare.

Dynamic Scripting is recommended for clients who are looking to survey very specific groups. Please contact your account manager if you think Dynamic Scripting may be a good option for your campaign or organization.

Adding Dynamic Scripts to a Survey

After starting the creation of a call or walk survey, assign at least two audiences on the Targets page. These target groups should be made up of the individuals you are trying to reach with specific scripts. For this example, we've created audiences for four issue areas: Healthcare, Fiscal Issues, Education, and Energy.

Select 'Next' to prompt the targets to generate and move to the Settings tab. To add a Dynamic Script, select the toggle option next to 'Dynamic Script'.

A sidebar will appear to allow you to match a script to each audience. For existing scripts, simply drag-and-drop the script to each corresponding list.

For a new script, select the 'New' tab and name the script. You will be able to edit the language for each on the Script Builder.

Building a Dynamic Script

Dynamic Script building is not much different than the typical script building process as discussed in this article: Building a Script.

For each target audience, you'll just need to create a unique script. Changing between scripts can be done from the bottom of the page in the action bar.

Dynamic Scripting in the App

As volunteers go door-to-door or make calls, they will not have to do anything differently. Dynamic Scripts will appear automatically as they select targets.
