Overview
Tobe Twin is the live intelligence layer of the Tobe Suite. It is a web-based 4D collaboration portal and IoT connector that streams live time-series data directly into 3D project models, transforming static construction plans into living digital twins. By linking Tobe Builder desktop projects to live IoT device feeds, teams can monitor real-world equipment, sensors, and site data directly within the 3D model environment to compare planned virtual construction against actual live site conditions.
The Four-Layer Analytics Model
Tobe Twin relies on a 4-layer analytics architecture to transform raw site data into strategic decision intelligence.

The 4-Layer model is designed to match how humans naturally process information: moving from basic Events (Level 1), to Activities (Level 2), to Performance (Level 3), and finally to global Optimisation (Level 4).
High Level Concept
The user interface of ToBe Twin is engineered around a highly intuitive Three-Pane Architecture designed to seamlessly bridge virtual planning with live on-site physical reality. By partitioning workspace navigation, interactive 3D spatial visualization, detailed asset metrics, and chronological timelines into distinct, synchronized zones, it allows project teams to effortlessly transition from high-level portfolio overviews down to atomic site events.
1. The Center Canvas (The 4D Map Viewport)
The centerpiece of the application is a fully interactive, georeferenced 4D Spatial Viewer that serves as the visual "single source of truth" for the construction site:
GIS and BIM Integration: It overlays highly accurate 3D BIM design models directly onto real-world satellite terrain imagery (supported by Esri/ArcGIS frameworks).
Live Asset & Infrastructure Visualization: Active equipment (such as excavators, crawler cranes, and tipper trucks) and personnel are represented on the map as dynamic, hoverable 3D icons with live, high-contrast labels.
Interactive Resource Pathing: The viewport renders colored, high-fidelity 3D trajectories representing the historic or real-time movement paths of site equipment, personnel shifts, and material haulage across defined work areas.
2. The Left Panel (The Global Sidebar & Menu Navigation)
Arranged vertically down the far-left edge of the screen is the primary navigation array, enabling users to toggle and control active visual layers:
Core Navigation Menus: Includes quick access to the Selection Inspector, GIS Menu (for map layers and terrain overlays), Tobe Projects (for switching site portfolios), Devices lists, Alerts (for system-wide exceptions), BIM Hierarchy trees, and View States.
Dynamic Visibility Filters: Located at the bottom of the map view are quick-toggle switches for filtering on-screen assets by category—allowing users to selectively hide or show People, Equipment, Material, or Data vectors.
3. The Right Panel (The Selection Inspector & Insights Engine)
The right panel serves as a context-aware data panel that automatically populates with analytical information when an asset, zone, or event is selected in either the 4D Viewer or the bottom timeline:
Tabbed Insight Views: Divided into dedicated tabs like Status (for current telemetry, battery health, and model parameters) and Workspans / Workspaces (for behavioral trends).
Journey and Cycle Analytics: For selected fleet assets (e.g., a "Cregas Tipper Truck"), it displays a comprehensive breakdown of daily work spans, mapping out chronological journey blocks (such as time spent in the "Laydown Area" vs. the "Main Building").
Performance Diagnostics: Surfaces Level 3 aggregated individual metrics, including total distance traveled, active run time, idle percentages, and safety event counts (like speeding, geofence breaches, or harsh braking).
4. The Bottom Panel (The Device & Task Timeline Controls)
Stretching across the lower third of the interface is the chronological command center, providing precise time-travel navigation across historic site telemetry:
Media-Style Replay Controls: On the left, a robust set of playback buttons (play, pause, step forward/backward, speed multiplier, and replay toggle) lets users visually reconstruct and play back historical equipment and workforce movements.
Multi-Device Swimlane Timeline: The center of the bottom panel displays horizontal activity gantt bars for every tracked asset. Colored blocks represent run-time segments, while diamond-shaped icons pinpoint precise instantaneous events (such as speeding alarms, tipping cycles, or engine starts).
Unified Workspace Toggles: At the bottom-left corner, users can instantly switch between the Devices Timeline (for telemetry replay) and the Tasks Timeline (to overlay the Primavera P6 / Gantt-style schedule directly against the recorded data).
