This August release of Tobe Twin tightens the 4D Viewer: view states get a timezone and Save / Apply, work zones share one colour, journeys stay readable, and Tobe Projects can be cached one at a time.
View states
Dynamic view states now store a timezone. Set it to the site zone (for example Asia/Kuala Lumpur). Leave timezone as none if you need the previous behaviour.
The view state menu has Save and Apply, so you can store a state and use it without leaving the menu.
Work zones and paths
Work zone colours now match across the map, the timeline, the inspector work-span tab, and the visualised path. The colour comes from the category area.
A work-span path that crosses a zone border keeps the previous zone’s colour on that leg. There is no clean way to switch colour exactly at the border, so that behaviour stays.
Devices and timeline
Devices before the first timeline frame are treated as inactive.
Selecting a device in the scene or the device menu scrolls the timeline so that device is at the top of the visible rows.
Journeys
A busy journey is split across extra rows so the path stays readable. Labels show site and time on each stop.
Tobe Projects
You can activate or deactivate a Tobe Project from the menu. Selecting a project shows a summary in the inspector, including what is cached.
Remove Download and Refresh Download apply to that project only. GIS layers now set correctly after a Tobe Project download.
Also in this release
Work-span aggregation now includes cumulative distance, available in Twin as total distance in metres.
GIS menu thumbnails and a 50% default opacity for some GIS layers.
Filter for records with alarms only, and a time-speed multiplier on timeline playback.
Time-picker crash on very large ranges is fixed. Default view-state handling is more reliable.
