The Pit and Measure tools are world-space tools. Like the properties inspector, they use the world-space reticle to allow you to create measurements and place pits.

Pit Tool

The Pit tool is designed to allow users to simulate and visualize excavation, earthworks, and foundation elements within a project. By creating a virtual representation of the pit, users can examine the impact of the excavation on surrounding structures and utilities. This helps identify potential issues, streamline construction planning, and improve overall project coordination.

Measure Tool

The Measure Tool allows users to accurately measure distances between two points within the XR environment.

Valid Measurement Targets

  • Detected planes (horizontal and vertical)

  • BIM elements

  • Resources

How to Use the Measure Tool

  1. Open the Tools drawer
Press the Tools button to reveal available tools.

  2. Activate the Measure Tool
Tap the Measure button to enable measurement mode.

  3. Start measuring
Point the reticle at your first point and press the Anchor button to set the starting point.

  4. Complete the measurement
Move the reticle to your second point and press the Anchor button again.
The distance will be displayed at the midpoint of the measurement line.

Editing or Deleting a Measurement

  1. Enable the Measure Tool
Make sure the tool is active.

  2. Select a measurement point
Point the reticle at the start or end point of an existing measurement.

  3. Edit or delete

    • Press the Edit button to adjust the point.

    • Press the Delete button to remove the measurement.
