It’s designed for accountability and quick investigation, so if something was updated (for example, a client detail, a document status, or other record changes), you can see what happened, who did it, and when.
You’ll find this on the staff profile under the Activity Log tab.
What the Activity Log shows
The Activity Log is presented as a timeline-style list of entries. Each entry includes a short description of the action, the person who performed it, and the date/time it occurred.
When you click an entry, you’ll see a detailed view that breaks it down into:
Action By: who performed the change
Action On: what record was affected (for example, a user or another system object)
Event: the type of activity (created/updated/deleted, etc.)
Date & Time: exactly when it occurred
Description: a human-readable summary of the activity
Changes (when available): a field-by-field comparison showing the previous value and the new value
This “changes” section is particularly useful when you need to confirm exactly what was modified, not just that something was modified.
Searching and reviewing activity
At the top of the tab, you can search the activity list. The search helps you filter entries by things like the description text, event type, or names involved. This is helpful when you’re trying to find a specific update in a busy period.
By default, the log shows a set number of entries and you can click Show more to load additional history.
When to use the Activity Log
The Activity Log is most useful when:
you need to confirm who made a change to a client/staff record
you’re troubleshooting “why did this value change?”
you’re preparing for internal reviews and want a clear audit trail
you need time-stamped history of edits for compliance processes
If no activity appears yet, that’s normal for new staff profiles - entries will show as activity occurs.
