Editing a Site Shift

To edit a site shift, open the shift on the Scheduler (in Sites view) and select Edit. This opens the Edit Site Appointment panel where you can update the shift details.

Most fields can be updated, including the appointment title, linked site, selected clients, staff, appointment types, travel claim setting, times, address, and comments.

If you need to add another staff member, you can use + Add more, and you can remove extra staff rows when needed.

When editing staff on a site shift, you’ll set the appointment type for each staff member. This is important for keeping the shift categorised correctly (and for NDIS sites, for correct pricing behaviour). If the site is NDIS, the Manage Types button is available here as well.

You can adjust the start and end times directly, or use the same quick duration buttons to move the end time to a standard shift length. This is useful when you’re correcting times after a roster change.

If the shift is recurring, editing works slightly differently. When you click save, Imploy will ask whether you want to apply the change to:

  • Only this shift, or

  • This shift and all future shifts in the series

This prevents accidental changes across an entire recurring schedule. In some cases (for example if the recurring chain has been broken), parts of the recurring controls may be locked to protect the series.

Site shift edits work the same as standard client shifts. View all scheduling help articles here for a more detailed breakdown.

After saving, the Scheduler refreshes and the updated shift will appear immediately.
