The Inbox Monster Deliverability Platform enables marketers to access real subscriber engagement data, providing directional insights into your subscribers' behaviors. The process for using this feature is outlined below.

Engagement Pixel

Using a 1x1, invisible pixel within email campaigns sent to real subscribers, the Inbox Monster platform is able to provide a variety of behavioral data that enables marketers with a greater understanding of how their subscribers engage with their content.

Implementing the Engagement Pixel is quick and easy.

Step 1: Engagement Pixel Settings.

To access the Analytics Pixel from within the Inbox Monster platform, navigate to Setup and Integrations by clicking the Gear Icon ⚙️ > Setup and Integrations.

Step 2: HTML Embedding.

The Engagement Pixel section provides an HTML embed that is ready to be added within the <body> </body> of your HTML creative content, including space for variables such as a Subscriber ID or Campaign ID. These variables will assist in managing unique campaign engagement within the Inbox Monster platform.

Scripting is not required, but unique identifiers for each campaign are recommended. The Subscriber ID value should be unique for each individual subscriber.

The engagement pixel variables must adhere to the following criteria to function properly:

  • Allowed characters are letters, numbers, dashes and underscores

  • Must be between 3 and 36 characters

  • Do not include any personal information like names or email addresses

If the pixel embed is configured with more than 36 characters, it will be rejected.

For Salesforce Marketing Cloud Users:

  • Campaign ID and Job ID are interchangeable, and AMPscript can be used to call either, and subscriber ID/key.

    • Example Variables: %%jobid%%/%%SubscriberID%%

    • Example Full: <img src=“https://pxl.mon-trk.com/david_is_cool_sample/%%jobid%%/%%SubscriberID%%” height=“1” width=“1">

Step 3: Unique Variables.

Once the Engagement Pixel is implemented within live HTML content, unique campaigns will appear in the Creative Tools > Analytics section of the Inbox Monster platform, sorted by the unique variables from step 2.

Step 4: Engagement Data.

Within each campaign, a dashboard view of engagement metrics will then be available, reflecting insights into your existing subscribers’ behaviors when engaging with the campaign.

Read Time: Read time measurements begin when the pixel is triggered, which is effective when the pixel is open and closed for a given ISP.

Short Read: Email viewed 5 seconds or less.

Medium Read: Email viewed 6 to 10 seconds

Long Read: Email viewed >10 seconds.

Software: Indicates the browser or email viewing platform being utilized, per event, by real subscribers. (Example: Chrome 101, Android Webview 99, etc.)

Operating System: Indicates the operating system within which engagement events have been recorded. (Example: iOS 14.8, Windows 10, etc.)

Country: Indicates the country in which each number of engagement events occurred.

Nicely done - you now have access to real-world subscriber engagement data!

As always, if we can help with anything, please log into your account and use the Intercom chat in the bottom right of the Monster interface and we'll take care of you. Thank you!
