FAQ & Troubleshooting

  • What are the best image sizes to use?
For the main image, use a 16:9 aspect ratio; a square image (1:1) works best for the logo.

  • How do I get a HEX color code for the button?
Use an online color picker tool to find the exact code. It should be a 6-character string preceded by a # (e.g., #1A73E8).

  • Can I change the icons for location and special offer?
No. The icons are set within the template code and cannot be changed through the variable fields.

  • Why is the text in the description or business name getting cut off?
The template is designed for concise copy. Try shortening the text in these fields.

  • Why can't I see the ad in the preview?
Native ads with a dynamic size cannot be previewed in Indie Ads Manager. If you attempt to do so, you'll see a blank preview screen with an error message. To preview your dynamic native ad, you can create a private test page on your website.

  • The CTA button is hard to read. What can I do?
This is usually a contrast issue. Ensure the CTA Button Text Color is easily visible against the background.

  • I left a field blank, but a broken icon or empty space is still showing.
Double-check that the field is completely empty, with no spaces or hidden characters.

  • The ad click is not going to the correct website.
Verify the URL in the Destination Field is correct, including the http:// or https:// prefix.
